I really hope the Russians don't pair Yak with Grigorenko. That slug held Yak back during the summer super series thing.

Plus the Russians should be DQ'd for having a 23 year old Grigorenko on their junior team.

They won't need any goaltending... I could play net with Canada's defence even with out Murray playing.

And there shouldn't be all the lame blow out teams in the tourny..... just 5 teams
Canada, USA, Finland, Sweden, and Russia.

Wouldn't be surprised if he racks up 15-20 points, which would put him in the record books along with Tavares, Hodgson, Schenn (recent players who had monster tournaments). More importantly though....bring home the gold!

I'd go with 6 teams, give the best out of Slovakia/Czech/Germany/Whatever a shot. Big time upsets always make a tourney fun, even if they rarely happen.

Seriously the team doesn't look that good? They could choose down the middle from Nugent-Hopkins, Huberdeau, Strome, Couturier, Scheifele, MacKinnon, Jenner etc. Canada will be stacked.

Gold is never a guarantee in a team sport like hockey but how you can claim The squad needs help? They don't need Nugent-Hopkins at all.

Solid team except goaltending is a question mark.

I think this Canada team outside of the goaltending position has the potential to look better this year than in past years. They have a nice crop of forwards to choose from, the WHL blueline is scary and all they need to do is find a hot goalie.

Is goaltending, or the lack thereof, going to sink us again? It might.

i dont get your goaltending analysis and the 'lack thereof' Goaltending looks stronger this year than it has in the past 3-4 years :s
